Self Esteem releases video for new single, Rollout and a run of UK shows

Self Esteem today debuts the video for her new single Rollout and announces a run of UK shows for November and December. Premiered by Wonderland today, the video is directed by long time friend and collaborator Piers Dennis, and features Self Esteem AKA Rebecca Lucy Taylor front and centre, and indulging her love for choreography and the art of the pop promo.

“I spent 10 years making music videos with the most horrific burning desire to do choreography and not being allowed to, so here we are, I suppose,” Rebecca tells Wonderland. The song was originally premiered by the FADER and given a first radio play by Lauren Laverne as her ‘Just Added’ track on her BBC 6 Music show, Rollout is available to stream and download now via Fiction Records.

Rollout is Self Esteems’s third single, following Wrestling, released earlier this summer, and last year’s critically acclaimed debut Your Wife. For a long time Rebecca was dividing her attention, working on painting and prints, and video, as Self Esteem, whilst the day job was writing and performing as one half of Slow Club, but now the music and the day job is Self Esteem too, and Rebecca is reveling in it. Witty, intelligent, extrovert and piercingly insightful, Rebecca no longer has to worry about anybody else’s opinion or treading on any toes, and can be wholly, wonderfully herself.
