Beautifully designed new releases coming in October from Adidas Originals
We are frequent visitors to the pre-release pages of many creative houses but when it comes to fashion and more importantly, sneakers, we are regularly hanging around outside the Adidas website. As one of our favourite brands, Adidas (or more importantly, their Originals arm) is where we get our kicks. Home to stacks of causally gorgeous styles, inspiring collaborations and an abundance of heritage, Originals continually keep our fire burning and this October is no different. Loaded with unique styles, new silhouettes and re-worked classics, their forthcoming drops are ones we just had to share.
BW Army Shoes
First up is the timelessly stylish BW Army Shoe. This 70’s inspired sneaker is built around a retro rubber cupsole which craddles a premium leather upper that, in time, develops a soft, rich lustre. Available in the colours above (cream and red) this classic style offers a subtly branded look for those who are less interested in the three strips, preferring an alternative, sophisticated approach.
Boston Super XR1 and Rising Star XR1
Both the Boston Super and the Rising Star sneakers above are based on 80’s running shoes. The Boston Super were originally designed as marathon shoes, which first took flight on the world-famous route that runs from Hopkinton to Back Bay. Featuring a retro mesh-and-suede design they’ve been modernised to include cushioning and a lightweight, breathable upper. The Rising Star revives an 80’s design that’s inspired by the NMD R1’s unique midsole plugs. Originally made for running on asphalt, the Rising Star features removable midsole plugs to let runners adjust their cushioning level.
Returning to what many see as traditional Originals styles, the casual nature of the Tobacco silhouette will resonate with many lovers of the brand out there. These designs revive an ever-increasing appreciation for leisure shoes, made from vegetable tanned suede, these two colours honour the original design shape but now feature a rough upper to provide both urbanites and sneaker enthusiasts with a contemporary appeal.
These sneakers plus many more Adidas styles will drop throughout October. Find your look here.
